Job Description
As a fire & Safety Supervisor you will be responsible to assist in safeguarding life and property against fire, explosion, and related hazards.
Detailed job descriptions as follows:
- Conduct inspections and test fire protection and / or detection systems to verify that such as systems are installed in accordance with appropriate laws, codes, ordinances, regulations and standards.
- Monitor troubleshoot and / or arrange for the repair or replacement of defective fire / safety equipment.
- Inspect the property facilities for compliance with pertinent life / safety and fire-safety standards as mandated by the government ordinances.
- Respond to all mechanical, electrical and structural systems emergencies to assess fire / safety or life-safety threats.
- Prepare reports detailing specific fire prevention and protection issues such as work performed and proposed review schedules.
- Advise other Maintenance personnel and other departments on fire prevention equipment and techniques, and on fire code and standard interpretation and compliance.
- Contribute to the design of fire detection equipment, alarm systems, and fire extinguishing devices and systems.
- Advice on of purchase, modification, installation, maintenance, and operation of fire protection systems.
- Inspect buildings or building designs to determine fire protection system requirements and potential problems in areas such as water supplies, exit locations, and construction materials.
- Investigate any fire incidents for causes and future actions required to prevent such incidents.
- Determine causes of fires, and ways in which they could have been prevented.
- Perform any other tasks assigned to him by the Fire & Safety Manager and the Chief Engineer.
- Maintain complete confidentiality of all sensitive matters relating to the business in general and Maintenance Department
Skills Description
- 6 to 8 years with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in Shopping Mall or Hospitality sector managing a team of technicians in fire protection and / or detection systems.
- Excellent in MS Office and AutoCAD knowledge will be preferable.
