Chief Engineer

1.     Organize and administer the Maintenance Department, ensuring that effective work control and productivity are maintained, whilst using every means to increase productivity and reduce costs.

2.     Direct and supervise the implementation of an effective trouble report system, together with other day-to-day works of general maintenance and repair to ensure that the building, its contents and its surroundings are at all times in first-class condition throughout

3.     Identify and arrange for all necessary work to maintain a high standard whether mechanical, electrical or civil, to be completed in a timely manner.

4.     Ensure that a full preventive maintenance schedule exists for every item of mechanical and electrical plant or equipment,

5.     Negotiate terms and conditions for all manufactures / agents and service contracts with the assistance of the controller.

6.     Keep up-to-date records of all test certificates / licenses

7.     Conduct frequent meetings with other Department Heads to review the current performance of their equipment.

8.     Participate in assessing the long-term requirements of the Mall, including overhaul / rehabilitation programs or renewal / replacement works, etc. In conjunction with TMM General Manager – Maintenance.

9.     Responsible for budgeting and financial planning for the Maintenance Department

10.  Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• 7 to 10 years with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a managerial role in Shopping Mall, Hotel or Hospital managing a team of twenty or more engineers and technicians 
• Excellent in MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Fluent in English and Arabic
